1、住酒店不是 Live in hotel
首先，大家看一下Live的英文解释：To have a home in a specified place.
也就是定居在某地，
这个地方常常是一个人的家庭，
住址或者定居的城市。
因而 Live in hotel 的含义是长期住酒店，
只住几天不可以说 Live in hotel.
正确的说法应该是：Stay at a hotel 在酒店暂住。
例句：
I will stay at the Hilton hotel during my trip.
旅行期间我会住希尔顿酒店。
2、住外面不是 Live outside
首先，我们所说的住在外面的意思，
就是没和父母住一起，
强调的是我自己住，
所以住外面可以说：I live by myself 或 I live on my own。
如果你对老外说 I live outside，
对方大概会误以为你住在野外，
会觉得你是个露营爱好者。
例句：
I live by myself and the rent really kills me!
我住外面，租金真是要了我的命！
3、我来找朋友不是 Find someone
西方国家，当海关问你来干什么，
如果你想表达去找朋友或者亲戚，
千万别说Find my friend! Find有寻找失踪人口的含义，
正确的英文表达是：Visit my friend / relative = 拜访朋友/亲戚
例句：
I came here to visit my friend.
我来这里拜访我的朋友。
